For me, it's the most interesting because they put out packages of very ripe fruits and vegetables at wonderful prices. For me, that's the difference, and I always come home with a full bag and a full wallet too because it's cheap!!!! Cut fruits on a tray (watermelon, melon, pineapple), fresh grapes, well organized and clean! I always go, my first choice! 🪴

Sacolão is a great neighborhood market, located under the viaduct on Avanhandava Street. It's an example of resistance against large chain stores. It has everything, the produce is always fresh, and the fruits are excellent. The prices are consistent with other markets in the area. The staff are always very attentive, and it's a safe place. I recommend it.

Organic... simply that... and some prices even with the 35% tax are a better or similar price to supermarkets/Street markets but are ORGANIC!!!
Their specialty are vegetables and fruits but they also offer some more groceries, beverages and some other few household items. Prices are good. The vegetables and fruits quality really depends on the day, sometimes they are superb sometimes they are not all that nice. Their opening times are great, they stay open till 10pm except sundays when they close at 5pm. Nobody here mentioned but on weekends they also offer roast chicken (entire) with seasoned flour (farofa) - not all day long, just as long as chicken stock remains. Good to take home and eat while still hot.
